Why You Should NEVER Peel Your Healing Lip Tattoo Scabs?

If you've just had a lip tattoo done congrats on your new beautiful lips! But now comes the most important part: healing. And one of the biggest rules during this process is

'' Do NOT peel the scabs yourself ''

Why Is It So Important?

When we tattoo lips, the pigment is deposited into the upper layer of your skin. During healing, your skin forms tiny scabs to protect itself. These scabs are part of the natural healing process they hold the pigment in place.

If you pick, peel, or force them off,

- You risk pulling pigment out.
- The color will heal uneven, patchy, or faded.
- It may cause irritation, longer healing time, or even scars.

How Does the Color Settle?

- The pigment initially looks very bold.

- Within the first 3 days, your lips will start peeling naturally.

- Once the peeling is done, the color may look lighter this is completely normal.

Over the next 2-4 weeks, the pigment will gradually bloom back to a more natural, soft, and even shade.

Want a Bolder Color?

No problem! After full healing, you can come back for a touch-up session (round 2) to enhance the color intensity or adjust the tone as needed. This is totally normal for lip tattoos.

Pro Tip: Be patient. Trust the process.
Beautiful lips are coming your way just dont rush it by peeling!
